The leading women’s professional golf tour in Europe, known as the Ladies European Tour, actually takes place across parts of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East as well. Making it more of a global tour despite the name.
The tour is experiencing a period of growth, with high stakes team tournaments (including pairing amateurs with professionals) and a mix of historic and modern tournaments keeping fans engaged.
Things begin with a bang in February with the PIF Saudi Ladies International which has one of the highest prize purses of the tour. The season closes in November with the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de España which is always a very grand occasion.
The busiest period takes place over the summer months, and this is when some of the highlights of the tour take place, such as the Majors (The Evian Championship and the AIG Women’s Open) and the Solheim Cup.
